This expense includes my Journey, stay (Its free), travel around inside cities for two days in bus and trains except ICE (fastest train), food and fee to view the panoramic view of Berlin and fee to visit some of the museums in Berlin and Potsdam..

So what do you think ???? Isn't sound good????

I would like to share you some of the places I visited in Berlin and Potsdam in different posts.. Sorry I could not make this in one post.. So please forgive me..

Gedächtniskirche : My first stop in Berlin!!!!!!

The original church was built in the 1890s. It was badly damaged in a bombing raid in 1943. The present building, which consists of a church with an attached foyer and a separate belfry with an attached chapel, was built between 1959 and 1963.
The damaged spire of the old church has been retained and its ground floor has been made into a memorial hall...

Inside church:

One of the first weddings in the year 1895....
Again the destroyed kirche,

No comments other than having sad feelings of second world war!!!

Panoramic View of Berlin city!

Once I was in Dortmund watching the panoramic view of the city.. The city is not that good as other historic cities in Germany even then I liked the view very much. .. After that I never wanted to miss ..So why should I miss this chance in Berlin??????? It was bit expensive.. And lot of people .. I spent nearly around two hours being in queue... I was bit worried when I was waiting.. Because it was raining a lot.. But when my turn came, it comes the sun..

So god listened me..

That was really good view from this TV tower.... (Fastest travelling elevator in Europe if I am not wrong)

And the view from top of this TV tower:

I believe you liked these pictures..

Historic Part; Berlin!!!

After a panoramic view of the city, I started walking around city ..

First comes this church near the TV tower..
Rathaus : City Hall of Berlin...

I captured this (Angel) on the way to Berliner Dom...
Comes the Berliner Dom!!!

And comes one more sad memory...

Book Burning memorial!!!!

May 10, 1933 - An event unseen since the Middle Ages occurs as German students from universities formerly regarded as among the finest in the world, gather in Berlin and other German cities to burn books with "unGerman" ideas. Books by Freud, Einstein, Thomas Mann, Jack London, H.G. Wells and many others go up in flames as they give the Nazi salute.

Exactly in the same place...There are enough empty shelves in this subterranean room to hold all the books that were burned on this spot in 1933.....

Okay.. We go to the next stop..
It was Reichtag.. Parliament building....

(This photo I downloaded from internet)The Reichstag dome is the large glass dome at the very top of the building. The dome has a 360-degree view of the surrounding Berlin cityscape. The main hall of the parliament below can also be seen from the cupola, and natural light from above radiates down to the parliament floor. A large sun shield tracks the movement of the sun electronically and blocks direct sunlight which might bedazzle those below. Construction work was finished in 1999 and the seat of parliament was transferred to the Bundestag in April of that year. The dome is open to anyone without prior registration, although the waiting queues can be very long, especially in summertime (August, in particular)...

Not only in august.. It was a very big queue even in early April and with rain (ice fall)....May be next time I will show my own photos..

Art Gallery : Berlin!!!!!

This visit was unexpected.. I just went inside to see what is there in .. One woman saw me and asked me to buy ticket from her since she has one extra.. I told her I am out of time so I am sorry I cant .. Again she was insisting and she was really bargaining .. she said she could reduce two euros less.. the actual price was 10 euros.. I was really felt bad, then I thought of buying ticket from her.. I gave her money and i bought the ticket.. Ha ha ha.. that was so funny I saw the entrance fee for student is just 5 euros.. But see I am a smart Indian woman (Ha ha ha), what I did I went to the counter and said I am a student .. That guy was looking my identity card and he said he was impressed to see Indian girl (thats fine.. I can say it...okay?) studying in Portugal came to visit Berlin.. That was good to hear... Anyway after a talk, he gave me 5 euros back.. Good guy Right?

So here comes lot of photos from art gallery, from three big floors.. Oh taht was too much for 3 euros visit.. Ha ha ha... But I show you for free.. Believe me I am your good friend!!!!!

Most of the paintings are from early 19th centuary... I was surprised and amazed about the colors they used during that time.. ..

And some paintings of my taste...

f

Then I found one bride and groom taking pictures.. I captured them too.. I liked her dress very much... Once in my life I would like to dress this.. but never as Bride.. Ha ha ha..
But I wouldn't mind as bride mate.. So please friends if someone get married please invite me...

Okay.. I am moving forward to next post..

Humboldt University , Berlin!!!!

The Humboldt University of Berlin is Berlin's oldest university, founded in 1810.

&

I am very glad to inform you this...

Cultural critic Walter Benjamin, and famous physicists Albert Einstein and Max Planck founders of Marxist theory Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels attended the university...

Isn't interesting????

The university is home to 29 Nobel Prize winners...

Isn't amazing???????????????

So, As a researcher I was very happy to visit this place.... hmmmmmmmmmm.... Felt relaxing to visit this place..

Berlin Hbf : Main Railway Station!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.. How can I say why did I go there? It was my curiosity to see the main station took me there..... So there goes the issue.. It's a huge stationnnnnnnnnnnnnn.... I never been to a big station like this before ..I took lot of time to understand their system.. I found it easy after spending lot of time roaming inside the station (many times going to the same place again and again: Ha ha ha) to catch one local train..

Ha ha ha..

That was already too much time I spent..

Some photos for you to take a look of the Hbf. Berlin

Then I found interesting to see the monument painted in all U-bhans...

I remembered something.. Once I was in very small station and I was going in and out from the train since my destination place in the map doesnt match with the displayed places.. Atlast i decided to take risk to get into the same train.. One guy (from California) was watching me and he asked me whether I lost somewhere.. I replied him yes a kind of.. His answer was so comforting..hmmmmmmmmm.. He told me that he has been lost for an hour even in such a small station.. .. Ha ha ha.. So I wasn't the only one ....

So please be prepared before, not to spend lot of time in searching...
Okay.. I knew you are smart enough!!!!

Olympic Stadium :Berlin!!!!!!

This is other story... I had this place in my list ... but, out of time I decided not to visit this place this time, also I had promised to reach the accommodation place between 7 to 8 pm....To reach this place I had to travel a lot .. that is in a village (Falkensee) bit far from the city.....
Then what happened? When I was in train on the way to Falkensee, the train stopped in Olympic stadium station.. So suddenly I decided to visit this place and got down..

But unfortunately they didn't allow me to get inside of the stadium since they had a game.. So security asked me to visit tomorrow.. Ha ha ha.. What can I say???? Anyway I was satisfied to see the stadium outside..

So here it is for you...

After, I went to Falkensee before time.. that was so nice of me... Right???

Okay next day I had a plan to visit Potsdam the other city of my interest.. So I already forgot to visit the stadium.. But the stadium never want to miss me.. Ha ha ha.. Again I was travelling via the stadium to reach Potsdam.. That was unexpected too.. So I got down again and decided to visit ..

So .. Some photos from Olympic stadium..

and my favourite sport place.. Swimming pool.. But, unfortunately it didn't impress me like the pitch ...
Anyway, I had spent good time there walking around the stadium.. It was really huge and wonderful..... One day I wish to watch live match there.. I will wait for that time...
