Royal city of Germany- München

It is been three weeks I was waiting to write about these upcoming posts... Can you guess where I have been to? I guess you could.. Sim.. I was in München, Bavaria state...
(Head quarters of BMW, Adidas, Audi, Puma, etc.,)

Before going to pictures I would like to share something about my journey.. As I said it was long time wish.. I had a good plans about this trip .. But I am too smart sometime that I made a note of everything except the address of the person whom I am going to stay with.. Ha ha ha.. That was the important than anything.. I am too smart .. Right???????

It was a very long journey (about 750 kms) .. So I started talking with the guy sitting near to me.. It should not surprise anyone.. ha ha ha..We had a good talk about the places to see around in Germany .. He showed me some interesting places in his i-phone.. I decided to ask his help.. I asked him to check my email to note down the address of the person whom I am going to stay with.. Ha ha ha... I was smart now .. right???? and the guy even helped me to use his i-phone .. It was good spending time like this while you are travelling a long way..

I was more relaxed after having an address..

I called Yael (Person whom I was staying with from CS) and let her know that I arrived München and travelled to her home.. She was already waiting for me in the station and we went home.. I relaxed a bit and she asked me to go and see some places in the city centre since the weather was so good.. She marked me some places in the metro map to see around..

Okay lets start seeing some places in Munich..
(City centre - Historical part)

from First day of my trip..

Royal Avenues and Squares...

I just liked the interior of this Church very much..... Isn't beautiful and so pleasing?????
I just had a walk for two hours and went home back.. Since Yael wanted to join with me to show around.. On the way back home I found this building.. I just took it because of Sud- Chemie.. (Something about chemistry-- So no wonder it interests me.... )
I went home to take Yael with me.. There was surprise waiting for me.. She prepared a food and decided to take me for picnic along the river side.. that sounded perfect..

So our picnic food!!!!
First time I tasted Sausage (100 % Chicken) .. That tasted delicious.. At least for me.. I am a chicken lover!!!!!!

This was our picnic spot..After having enough food we decided to walk a little .. Yael showed me around explained me many things about Munchen life.. It is always easy and special if someone will be with you explaining things.. I was lucky enough to get positive response from Yael to stay with her for three days..

Comes ..

Second day of my trip:

I had already travelled enough to Neuschwanstein (I tried very hard to remember the name of this castle, I even know now to write without any error.. Ha ha ha.. I never imagined.. I am happy for this..) Coming more details in the next post.. never miss that) and reached home at 20 hrs.. After Yael has some plans for me.. She was so sweet that she remembered my wish list in Munchen.. I thought of visiting those places in next visit.. But just because of her I could see many places.. you will see those..

She wanted to take me to pub ..That sounds very interesting.. I never been to any pub before.. So I was very eager to spend some time.. Even I was ready to dance.. Ha ha ha.. But, It was getting late for entering time .. So, Yael planned to take me there with her motorcycle.. We had some adventures trip .. I was travelling in Germany in Motorcycle without helmet.. Ha ha ha..Do you believe in this????? We tried hard to escape from Police.. Ha ha ha..
We could make it..

We went to pub.. It was all full.. But we decided to spend time for some drinks in Brazilian club.. I tasted first time cocktail.. (Non -alcoholic ; You should believe me in that too!!)

you can see me that I was exhausted by travelling .. But I was happy with my cocktail ..
(We were watchign US ans UK football game for some time : Two English fights!!!!! )

Here I am happy to introduce " Yael " my couch surfing Host and friend..

Then she took me to see football stadium (It was in my wish list) .. It was almost midnight.. Even I was so tired I was really happy to see the stadium with white lights on.. Also I heard that the color of the lights will be changed to red or blue depending on the team whom are they playing ..

Me and Yael in front of Arena...
And we were running back to catch the sub way .. She said Porkodi, Porkodi look look they are changing the lights.. We stopped running and watched the color change.. That was awesome!!!!
We were so happy for this..

This was the picture taken by Yael..

After all these we went home back safely without getting caught with any police.. Ha ha ha..

& comes

Third day of my stay at Munchen:

We first passed by the city centre again..

This was the model from the historical region..
Some more places for you (I already covered most of the places before)

We passed by the stalls where some people doing some handicraft wearing Bavarian dress..

After seeing all these places (Yael covered more than what I had in my wish list) we went home back and I prepared to go to Dortmund back..

About my return journey was miracle .. First, I booked with someone to go along with in a car.. Unfortunately she called me before two days of my journey and said she could not make it on the way back.. My god.. I was feeling so upset and tried to cancel the trip.. then I decided to find other alternate to come back.. As I told you before it was a very long journey (Almost North to South of the country) .. I checked the train tickets are so expensive.. Then I made myself some decision that I will take a weekend ticket and take lot of breaks in between cities..That would be very adventurous.. I am happy that I didn't do that.. )

When I said this to Yael she said that you are not going to do this definitely . I will find a cheap ticket for you... You know guys she did.. She found a cheap ticket in ICE train.... I was so happy.. How can I thank her??

"Thanks Yael"

So here I am going to show you how fast I was travelling to my city back..
302 kms/hour
could you imagine????

Even then it took six hours to reach home back.. (Of course not travelling always at this speed!!!)

Okay..

Here I should thank Yael for her kind help and made me so happy having different adventurous experiences which I wasn't imagining even in my dreams.. ..

Thanks a lot Yael for everything you did..

I am not finishing yet this trip... .. I have something more to show you.. So follow the following posts..

Obrigada!

Olympiapark- München

The Olympiapark in Munich

is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 summer olympics..

This is more clear from this picture.. (This picture I found in one of the tourist attractions in the city centre)
Obviously I need a picture in front of this Olympic Swim Hall..
Inside the swim hall.. I didn't know that I could go for swimming.. Okay... Next time for sure..
I was so happy to be inside watching people swimming.. Yael said that I looked more than happy... That makes some sense to me!!!!!

we were walking along the lake to reach the Olympia tower... No wonder I wished to go up the tower and see the panoramic view even the weather was so clear.. ..
Some photos of panoramic view from the tower..

Olympic Village: Which was used to house the athletes during the games....
BMW Headquarters and its Museum...

Olympiahalle und Olympia-Schwimmhalle...
Arena view from the tower..
I had spend good time with Yael in walking around the Olympia park ... Here I would liek to give you one more information... you must have known it before..If not... Here it is..

Munchen is a candidate city for the 2018 Winter Olympics....

So would you mind to go down to see the next post?????

Ludwig II - Swanking (Neuschwanstein) - Life History ...

If you know guys, this was the place occupied first in my priority wish list to be visited in Germany (Neuschwanstein Castle- you will see when you scroll down) .. But I wanted to go with Dianne and was waiting for her visit until June..(It was our deal)...Unfortunately She could not visit me for some reasons and we decided to visit again later .. That is the next story..

Então..

A day before my travel from Dortmund, I checked the weather and in the forecast it said it is going to rain a lot with storm.. I was bit upset .. But you know, this was the place I wish to see in all the seasons .. So I made myself happy that I am going to cross my last choice of season that is with rain...
Ha ha ha.. I was optimistic to enjoy my journey anyway... No rain can make me sad.. Ha ha ha..

Okay.. I wanted to write this post with a history of King Ludwig II... So I combined some places just to let you know about him..

Here it starts...

The birth place of Ludwig II.. Some photos from his birth place..

(This castle located in the Munich city)

He Born here.
Hohenschwangau Castle

Childhood residence of King Ludwig II ....
This was the girl (Sophie) he was interested (Very pretty Right???) .. They got engaged and engagement was called off!!!!! Unlucky guy....

View of Neuschwanstein Castle (His dreamt comfortable home) from his childhood residence place..

(Schloss Neuschwanstein ("New Swan Stone Castle") is one of the most beautiful and famous castles in Germany. Originally ordered to be built by King Ludwig II, this fairy tale castle is the epitome of neo-romantic style).

From Hohenschwangau Castle, have to hike for a while over the hill to reach this castle..

Neuschwanstein Castle entrance...
It was forbidden to take a picture inside the castle.. But some secret pictures for you.. I mean I downloaded from internet source just for you.. Do you believe in this???? Ha ha ha..

"Opera hall inside the palace"

I just adored this place.. stars glowing - good paint work (Moroccan style) ...
And comes the highlight of this palace..

"King Ludwig II bed room"

"Bedroom
In contrast to the other rooms, the Bedroom is sumptuously carved in the Neo-Gothic style. 14 woodcarvers are said to have worked 4 1/2 years to create this room . The Monarch's bed is crowned by the most intricate woodcarving and covered with richly Embroider draperies"

and

View of Marienbrücke (Mary's Bridge) from Neuschwanstein Castle ..

View of Neuschwanstein castle from the bridge!!!
(you have to hike more to reach this bridge to see this great view of castle...It was bit scary standing there on the bridge and I came to know very lately that this was very old and persist from Ludwig's period.. more than 120 years old.. On come on..
Too much.. and fortunately I didn't aware of this when I was standing on the bridge..
Ha ha ha.. Good for me..)
View of Hohenschwangau Castle from Newschwanstein castle....

And the Hero comes...

Here I wish to introduce the great King Ludwig II ....

&

comes the sad news and highlight of his history

On 13 June around 6:00 pm, Ludwig asked Gudden to accompany him on a walk along the shore of Lake Starnberg. Gudden agreed, and told the guards not to follow them. The two men never returned. At 11:30 that night, searchers found both the king and Gudden dead, floating in the shallow water near the shore.

"Ludwig's death was officially ruled a suicide by drowning, but this has been questioned. Ludwig was known to be a strong swimmer, the water was less than waist-deep where his body was found, and the official autopsy report indicated that no water was found in his lungs. Ludwig had expressed suicidal feelings during the crisis, but the suicide theory does not fully explain Ludwig's death"

So Moral of this post.. ha ha ha..

???????????????????

What do you think about this king Ludwig II????

Is he lucky or Poor ????????????

My Opinion... hmmmmmmmmmm...I am thinking.. I have to think more still to have some conclusion.. (escaped- ha ha ha) : But comments are welcome..

but I felt very very sorry for him that when I listened that "14 woodcarvers are said to have worked 4 1/2 years to just to create his bedroom and he just lived 6 months before his death"

Then I was feeling happy for him... at least he stayed 6 months but me, hmmmmmmmmmmmm just spent one hour in this beautiful castle located in a spot is one of the most beautiful that one could ever find. ".. So we all should feel happy for him??? right????

Okay.. fine.. coming to the enjoyable part.. I had a great company of some people from couch surfing to go along with.. I spend whole day with these people.. (Kathy - CS friend, and other people are her friends.. they are living in US came to Munchen for short time programme)

Here we are..
And I would like to inform you all that I had a wonderful time..

Thanks a lot for your great company guys..

&

me in my Dreamt visiting (just visiting) place.. Ha ha ha..
I wish to finish this post with this final information ..

More than 1.3 million people visit annually, with up to 6,000 per day in the summer. The palace has appeared prominently in several movies and was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Okay guys.. I am really tired.. It took so long to finish this post.. I hope you had some fun.. If not I will try my level best in next post..

&

You all have a good time ahead!
