Madrid Tour with Dianne!

We got a very cheap tickets to Madrid from Porto. We didn't want to miss this opportunity...

So We took off two days and went to explore the capital city of Spain.

As soon as we arrived the airport in Madrid we got the city and metro maps. That helped us a lot since we didn't have any big plans.. First we arrived the Dianne's friends (Ana) home and took rest for sometime and we went out in the afternoon... Here I have to say something that Dianne took charge of the plans and I just followed her....I was really amazed by her service.. Being tourist if someone took care of the ways and if you just follow them and enjoy watching the monuments .. Hmmmmmmmmmm.. so you should be lucky enough to have soemone with you like this.. So here I am thanking her support to enjoy my journey being lucky....

First day we went to see the historical places.. Starting from Puerta del Sol, the zero km of the radial network of spanish roads.....

Plaza de Espana...Mean while we had a break having cold coffee in starbucks...


and continued our walking towards Fuente de Cibeles... (other interesting place I liked the most)
Puerta de Alcalá...

My favorite cathedral at night. I insisted Dianne to go back to this place again to have a look at night... She was so cooperative to go with me even she was so tired after walking for about 8 hours...

Finally we arrived home night very tired of walking and slept well and got ready for the next day trip.. We were so satisfied with the first day trip to Historical Madrid.. It was wonderful..

Second day we had target to see the modern madrid..

This is the place near metro station where we stayed.. Its a good area..

Here comes the interesting part of Modern Madrid .. I was so excited to visit this place.. Because my favorite star, Rajnikanth : Thalaivar movie "Sivaji" in which one of the songs had pictured in this place... But Mostly in Valencia.. I will visit later this place for sure...

I was feeling really great ....I am proud to say I am a big fan of him...
After we went home back and had our lunch.. There goes Ana and Dianne with our lunch..
Then we started visiting other places...

Nuevos Ministerios Madrid...
Real Madrid Stadium...

National Library...

Museo del Prado...Prado museum features one of the world's finest collections of European art, from the 12th century to the early 19th century, based on the former Spanish Royal Collection.

we couldn't find time to go inside... So we decided to do it in next visit..

We found this city so different and had good time as tourist... Here I would like to thank Ana for her help to accomodate us and Dianne for her great company..
