Venice of Portugal- Aveiro and Costa Nova

To break my emotional upsets I decided to visit some place near by my city..... Long time I was thinking to visit the place Aveiro.. known as venice of Portugal ... Aveiro is surrounded by salt-flats, beaches and lagoons and dominated by the Central Canal running through town.... So I planned to visit this place..

I started from Porto on saturday at 9 am.. This is the one of my favorite bus stop near by my home..Named as Prasa da Galeza...

Reached porto train staion...Sao Bento...

In Aveiro.. While walking towards tourism office... saw beautiful home...

The city of Aveiro is crossed by canals, which give it quite an individual character, and in the old quarter tourists can see the quaint whitewashed houses of the fishermen and visit, early in the morning, the Mercado do Peixe, an auction of the fish caught during the night.

Of all the boats seen in the area, the moliceiro is the most elegant, being perfectly lined, painted with bright colours and with often ingenious and humorous decorations.

I decided to have ride on that beautiful decorative boats..

It was 45 mins ride passing through cannels..

Cannels having many beautiful small bridges...

I was controlling the boat .. that was good. Many people tried that..

Other bridges.. Small girl (menina) gave us kisses..

This is the 9 star hotel they said.. I dont know whether 9 starts hotels are exist..

Any way one photo with me.. ha ha ha (Here I would like to to mention something.. if you treavel alone the only main problem you face is taking photos with you.. But here I am so fortunate that the Porthuguese lady travelling with me she took lot of photos for me by her own interest.. One of these reasos I love this place, the kindness even for the strange people.. You cant easily find this nature with people... But I can say here whoever I met they were so kind and loving... )

The 45 mins trip was very good... I had spend good time...

Aveiro is the fisher man city.. I visited the fish market then.. This is the place near fish market..

here comes the fish market.. I bought some fresh fish for making Indian curry...

Thought of visitng the chapel of Aveiro...

Inside the Chapel.. It was really beautiful.. Where ever I visit some chapel I always think about Daisy.. And take some photos for her..

After visitng some palces in aveiro I decided to visit near by city called Costa Nova.. I came back to the bus stop near tourism office..

I was so much attaracetd by those boats.. So I decided to take some good pictures while waiting for the bus to Costa Nova ..

Tis was really interesting even the foot path they had the fish and boat designs..

I got the bus and while travelling to Costa Nova.. I crossed the Port of Aveiro.. I liked this building..

In Costa Nova..

so amazing.. they are really creative.. Any one can be atttracted by these houses..

I bought some gits for my friends and myself.. Painted on the porcelein..

I took some rest by sitting aside river.. took a breath of fresh air too.. ... and I walked all over the river side.. It was really good ..

After spending good time in Costa Nova I started coming back to Aveiro...

I bought some typical egg sweet (Ovos Moles) for my residence people..

I bought the egg sweet for me.. they kept the egg sweet in this wooden container..

The price is bit expensive.. even the smallest one costs 4 euros.. the one you are seeing down is 27 euros.. So expensive right.. I have to taste the sweet..

Then I returned Porto.. This is the Sao bento railway station from outside.. Beleive me guys its very hard to cover this buiding.. very big..

This trip made me so relaxed.. I had enough journey this month....

Portugal is beautiful country.. .. Each city has differnt things to see.. that is so amazing.. I wonder how is it possible..

Any how I am happy for it.....
