Arrived Cochin, India- Meeting my family...

Finally I arrived Cochin (Kerala, near by my state Tamilnadu), India. My family (except my father) were there to receive me in Cochin airport. I was very happy to see my family... My father called me to know about my arrival..

As soon as I arrived we went to hotel to take shower and had my food (Indian spicy rice) and started to my home.

I would like to introduce my family here..

while we were going to my home, we had our lunch in a tamil restaurent.. After a long time I was having my food on banana leaf... (typical south indian meal)

We arrived home at evening after a long journey ... Unfortunately I had to go to condolence first since my father's youngest brother passed away.. I was bit worried about the incidendent..

As soon as keeping the luggage at my home, we all went for condolence ceremony .. I could meet my father there... we all arrived home very late.. We were all so tired of many things...

We took good rest then...

Visit to Dortmund- Day with Abed!

After visiting the Frankfurt, I planned to visit Abed (My brother) in Dortmund. I reached the city near by Dortmund at 1 am early morning. I informed Abed previously about my arrival.. It was really untime.. Even then Abed was waiitng for me in the railway station. We both reached his home at 3 am.

After reaching his home he prepared food (very early breakfast) , he made my bed ready and left the home..

Messed up feelings of missing Porto and excitement to see my family didnt allow me to sleep for two nights.. Also the travel tiredness made me to sleep for quite a long time in Abed home..

I woke up around 10 am in the morning and Abed came home with bread for the second break fast.. He prepared good omblette, and as usual a very good coffee...

After having breakfast we went out to visit the city centre...

City centre....Abed offered me the very big Ice cream.. That was really big.. We could not finish it.. The weather was really good...

And we went to park (westfallenhallen Park) to spend some time... quite a big park... Abed took some photos... He said he doesnt like my camera.. too complicated...

We arrived home at night after the dinner.. next day I had to catch the train at 4 am in the morning.. After leaving me in his home Abed left to the department to complate some works in the lab.. As much as I know he works all days.. No holidays for him.. I was very happy that he spent two complete days for me.. We discussed a lot about our work and also about our family and shared many funny things happened...

I had a great time with him.. He took care of me like any thing.. He is the one of the gentle mans I have ever met..

I feel bad that I spoiled his two days.. and also he didnt take good rest for two days since my travel was at untime.. I am so sorry Abed... I didnt have any other option other than disturbing you..

High-rise and Historical buildings -Europe's Financial Centre - Frankfurt, Germany

As I informed in my previous post I planned to spend my vacation with my family...

I was travelling from Porto to India via Frankfurt.

I would like share my journey starting from Porto Airport.. My fly time was at 8 am in the morning. I planned to go by metro to airport since I didnt want to disturb anyone on saturday early morning. But, as lucky as always my friend Anzul came to my home surprisingly to take me to the airport in her car. So, It started good...

I should thank my sister here... She only booked my tickets to India from Frankfurt.. I was generous enough to book my ticket from porto to frankfurt by cheapest airways (ha ha ha) ...

This was the flight (Cheapest airways) I travelled from Porto to frankfurt...

After arriving Frankfurt Hahn..

Since, I planned to visit frankfurt, the journey plan was perfect enough to spend good time to visit the europes financial city.. .

Frankfurt is the financial and transportation centre of Germany and the largest financial centre in continental Europe. Frankfurt Airport is one of the world's busiest international airports, Frankfurt Central Station is one of the largest terminal stations in Europe.



Frankfurt is one of only three cities in the European Union that have a significant number of skyscrapers. With 10 skyscrapers (i.e. buildings taller than 150 m (492 ft)) in early 2009, Frankfurt is second behind Paris with 14 skyscrapers, and on par with London which also has 10 skyscrapers.

So I planned to explore the important tourist areas..

Easy way to see Frankfurt: So, I just went up (200 meters height) and see the best view of frankfurt main...

The Römerberg is the central square in Frankfurt's Altstadt (Old Town). For most visitors this is the first stop on their trail. In the area of the Römer, Roman settlements were established, probably in the 1st century; some artifacts from that era are found even to this day.

Never miss the Römerberg and River side in frankfurt. Those are the most recommended tourist sopts... (Recommended by the best tourist)...

After visiting the Frakfurt, I just went to visit Abed in Dortmund. I will post abt the day with Abed in next post.
